Beltway Belt Scales

EASY TO INSTALL: Unique modular design makes BELT-WAY scales very simple to install with complete installation averaging 3 hours or less. Our load cells simply bolt to your existing idler. This eliminates removing the idler, jacking up the belt, or making any other mechanical alterations to your conveyor. The speed sensor installs in a couple of minutes on the pipe mounting scale support system.

ADJUSTABLE WIDTHS: The BELT-WAY modular design uses mounting pipes that span the width of the conveyor to support the scale. If you should decide to move your scale to another width conveyor, only the lengths of the pipes would change. The standard 1-1/4" pipe is available anywhere.

FLEXIBLE CAPACITIES: Our design allows us to provide three different capacity ranges using different load cells inside our standard tubing. These three different size load cells allow us to customize our scale to best suit your application. The physical size of the scale is the same for all three ranges.

INEXPENSIVE: High quality and low cost go hand in hand. It has been said that 70 percent of the cost of a system, part, or component is in the design. Starting with a good design is the key to having a good "anything". Better designs inherently have lower costs, higher quality, and higher reliability. "Quality by Design" is the corporate goal at Sauk Valley Systems . . . the driving force behind the BELT-WAY concept.

STRAIN GAGE LOAD CELLS: Our load cells are OIML or NTEP approved with Bureau of Weights and Measures accuracy, linearity, and temperature range specification. By incorporating single-point suspension load cells with our modular design, we have eliminated the effects of external side loading and belt frictional forces which can cause inaccurate readings.

CORROSION-RESISTANT ENCLOSURE: Controls are housed in a NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosure featuring a full "O" -ring sealed waterproof door and corrosion-resistant hardware.

SELF-ALIGNING LOAD CELLS: BELT-WAY scales use two load cells that automatically align with one another to furnish a highly accurate system. This is an advantage over other scales that do not have this alignment feature.

SIMPLE, RUGGED DESIGN: Our load cell and speed sensor assemblies are fabricated using 1/4 " thick, heavy-wall steel tubing. All steel parts are cleaned, painted, and baked to provide years of service.

VERY LOW MAINTENANCE: Material build-up on the scale can contribute to scale inaccuracies. Our modular design provides a very low profile for material build-up. Cleaning maintenance is therefore reduced with a BELT-WAY scale.

LOW SHIPPING COSTS: The modular design of our scales enables us to ship them at a very low cost.
