Diamond Equipments Self-cleaning Permanent Magnets are suspended overhead magnets designed for removing steel and other magnetic materials from aggregate, recyclable, and other materials during the crushing, screening and sorting processes.

The magnets are powerful, computer designed and mounted in heavy-duty steel frames. The magnet is traversed by a heavy-duty vulcanized armored belt running on four pulleys. The conveyors can be driven by either electric or hydraulic motors.

Magnets can be utilized in either cross-belt (perpendicular to the conveyor processing the material) and in-line applications (same direction as the conveyor). As ferrous material passes under the magnet, it is attracted upward at which time the armored belt lifts the debris out of the conveyor burden and transports it away from the magnetic field and away from the conveyor.

Original costs can be recovered in a short period of time due to savings originated from a reduction in manpower, fewer production stoppages, higher percentage of reclaimed scrap, upgraded better quality end product, and fewer maintenance problems with down-line machinery.

Compared to electro-magnets, these Permanent Magnets require no electrical source for the magnet, are lighter in weight, have smaller dimensions, are relatively maintenance free and are less expensive to purchase, install and operate.
